It didn’t attract much attention, but the Federal Communications Commission this past week said that 13 analog FM stations that are operating within the bandwidth of digital low-power Channel 6 TV stations can continue to serve their communities.

Remember tuning in the audio for local Channel 6 TV stations just below the FM broadcast band at 87.7 MHz before digital TV? The FCC is giving more than a dozen stations permission to continue transmitting in analog to serve their communities.
