Only a few minor things of interest for radio hobbyists at this year's big tech show

Many electronic devices of interest to radio hobbyists have been unveiled in years past at the annual colossal CES convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. These days, the show’s news is more about things connected to the internet, self-guided vehicles, automation and AI (artificial intelligence).

The simple tech of new CB radios and scanners just don’t make the headlines out of CES any more. The last major event we recall that came out of CES of interest to hobbyists was Uniden’s off-site unveiling of the SDS100 scanner in 2019. It’s been relatively quiet since then.
