They’re the forgotten personal radio bands. Channel after channel. Megahertz after megahertz. For the most part, they are sitting unused by radio hobbyists.

Two of the ranges are as different as night and day. Neither has an abundance of equipment available to utilize the bands. But they are there, ripe for the pickings with the right gear. Let us tell you where you can hang out on the air without a radio license, enjoying relatively quiet bands for what they have to offer.

It’s a six pack of radios from the past. They are set up on a band that doesn’t require a license but has fallen into disuse by radio hobbyists.
