We recently wrote about an itinerant business frequency that you can hear activity on just about anywhere you live in the United States. It’s a frequency used by businesses and much more on a regular basis.
Itinerant means that the frequency is reserved for those types of operations that move from one area to another. Because of this, any licensee using itinerant business frequencies isn’t guaranteed use without potential interference. The crane operator that moves into town to erect a building for a few months isn’t protected from the circus that stages a show nearby using the same itinerant frequency.
For this installment of our Featured Frequency, we’ll take a look at another popular itinerant business frequency that is probably the second most popular on VHF. You might be surprised by the users you might hear on this frequency, only because it’s a little quieter and a little less popular than its sister frequency!
