We were doing a simple unrelated Google search today when we came across a frequency that might be of interest to our readers. As we have previously mentioned, it’s hard to find frequencies that are used in every nook and cranny of the United States.

However, our search today unearthed a VHF high band frequency that can be heard for miles around when used over a large area of the country. Granted you will need to be in more remote areas, but with the extended range of communications from airplanes, you might even hear it in nearby more developed areas as firefighting planes hit the skies.
